Job summary

The YMCA in Keene, NH is seeking a dedicated Supervisor to oversee school-age program staff and participants. You will foster positive engagement, ensure safety, and promote the YMCA core values within a nurturing setting.

Responsibilities include coordinating KFY OST activities, supporting staff, and maintaining program standards. CPR/First Aid/AED and abuse prevention training are required within 30 days of hire, with health form completion due soon after starting.

Qualifications

  • 21+ years of age
  • Background check required
  • Minimum 1 year supervising 3+ staff
  • 3+ years experience with youth (school-age preferred)
  • Experience with behavioral management in school/childcare/camp
  • 2-4 years experience with children with cognitive/developmental disabilities preferred
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • CPR/First Aid/AED and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire
  • Health form completed within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Build personal relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers and guests; uphold four-character values.
  • Supervise and support KFY OST programs at all locations.
  • Support and train staff in planning engaging, enrichment-based activities.
  • Provide leadership to co-staff.
  • Adhere to safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Attend staff meetings, training and events.
  • Follow YMCA policies including medical, disciplinary, and emergency procedures.
  • Fulfills other functions appointed by YMCA Administration.
