Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking a Group Leader for after-school programs in New York City. You will set goals for participants, facilitate activities, and prepare curriculum to support a safe, learning-focused environment.

Responsibilities include homework help, attendance, behavior documentation, and coordinating with tutors. Monday–Friday schedule with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour, subject to program needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have content-specific experience (i.e. sports, arts, literacy).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with children.
• Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
• Ability to prioritise, adhere to timelines and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Providing homework help, facilitating activities and supervising children in programs outside of school day hours.
• Supervise and monitor children and take daily attendance.
• Assist tutors and activity specialist to manage and document behavior.
• Maintain supplies.
• Assist and maintain in data collection and upkeep of participants documents.
• Attend all necessary program meetings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
