Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking a Group Leader to set goals for participants, facilitate activities, and prepare curriculum and lesson plans. The group leader maintains a safe and learning environment for program participants.

Hours are Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM. The role involves supervising children, tracking attendance, and coordinating with tutors and activity specialists to document behavior and progress.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children.
• Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Providing homework help, facilitating activities and supervising children in programs outside of school day hours.
• Supervise and monitor children and take daily attendance.
• Assist tutors and activity specialist to manage and document behavior.
• Assist and maintain in data collection and upkeep of participants documents.
• Attend all necessary program meetings.
• Maintain supplies and perform other related duties as assigned.
