Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking a Group Leader to set goals for program participants, facilitate activities, and prepare curriculum for after-school programs in NYC. The role focuses on creating a safe, engaging learning environment and supporting tutors and activity specialists.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, experience with children, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to plan and complete tasks

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working with children in a program setting is required.
• Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide homework help, facilitate activities, and supervise children in programs after school hours.
• Supervise and monitor attendance.
• Assist tutors and activity specialists in behavior management and documentation.
• Maintain participant records and data as needed.
• Attend program meetings and manage supplies as directed.
