Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking a Group Leader to guide program activities, set goals for participants, and prepare curricula to support safe and effective learning environments in NYC. The role focuses on supervision, homework help, and collaboration with tutors to ensure program success.

Responsibilities include conducting activities, maintaining attendance, and contributing to documentation while upholding health, safety, and confidentiality standards in a busy community setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children or in an educational setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to plan and execute activities independently.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Providing homework help, facilitating activities and supervising children in programs outside of school day hours.
• Supervise and monitor children and take daily attendance.
• Assist tutors and activity specialist to manage and document behavior.
• Maintain supplies.
• Assist and maintain in data collection and upkeep of participants documents.
• Attend all necessary program meetings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
