Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) seeks a TK/K Instructor to provide engaging, play-based learning for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students in BACR after-school and enrichment programs. You will foster a safe, nurturing environment that supports early literacy, social-emotional growth, independence, and a love of learning.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher or 48 college units completed, or passing an instructional aide exam.
• Experience with young children in educational, childcare, enrichment, preschool, TK, kindergarten, or similar settings.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to supervise and engage groups of young children safely.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming environment for 4–6 year olds in after-school programs.
• Support social-emotional growth through relationships, co-regulation, and restorative practices.
• Differentiate activities to meet diverse developmental and linguistic needs.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and school staff to support student success.
• Maintain attendance and required documentation with confidentiality.
