Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources, Inc. (BACR) in San Francisco is seeking EXLP Assistant Instructors to support TK–12 students in afterschool and enrichment activities.

You will create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth while building positive relationships with youth. Successful candidates are team-oriented educators who can implement restorative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices, provide homework help, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher, or 48 college units, or pass the Instructional Aide exam.
• Criminal background check and TB test clearance.
• Able to work every day during after-school hours through mid-June; some summer/intersession work.
• Experience with kids and ability to supervise up to 22 students.
• Basic technology skills (Word, Email, Workvivo, Workday, Google Drive).
• Must complete mandated trainings (Mandated Reporter, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging academic, enrichment, recreation, and SEL activities for TK–12.
• Build positive relationships fostering belonging, confidence and engagement.
• Use restorative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices.
• Provide homework assistance and adapt activities for diverse learners.
• Create safe, inclusive, welcoming environment for all backgrounds.
• Supervise groups of up to 22 youth during activities.
• Maintain attendance, incident reports, and program docs.
• Collaborate with staff, school personnel and families to support student success.
