Job summary

The YMCA of the Suncoast seeks a Before and/or After School Site Supervisor for Highland Lakes Elementary in Palm Harbor, FL. You will oversee daily operations, ensure safety and licensing compliance, and foster youth development while building strong relationships with families, staff, schools, and the community.

Lead staff and volunteers, design engaging lesson plans, manage finances, and ensure program quality in alignment with YMCA values and state requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; SMIC qualification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of childcare and staff supervision experience.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations to ensure a safe, nurturing environment (developmentally appropriate).
• Design lesson plans focused on social-emotional learning and enrichment.
• Ensure licensing compliance and maintain accurate records for children, staff, and volunteers.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers.
• Lead weekly planning meetings and uphold YMCA values.
