Job summary

After-School All-Stars in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Full Time Program Coordinator to lead the ASAS-LA site and deliver a safe, engaging after-school program for youth.

Responsibilities include driving program attendance, supervising staff and volunteers, coordinating with school partners, and implementing activities that meet diverse learning styles while ensuring health and safety standards. Must pass background checks and have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supervising in afterschool/day camp or youth organizations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with school district staff, officials, parents, and community leaders.
• Familiarity with quality criteria for expanded learning programming.
• Ability to develop programs for diverse learning styles and interests.
• Experience in ethnic and culturally diverse communities.
• Strong verbal and written communication in a team setting.
• Ability to respond to emergencies using ASAS-LA protocols.
• Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Valid transportation.
• Must clear Drug Test, TB screening, and DOJ/FBI Live Scan prior to hire.
• Fluency in a language other than English is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all staff and volunteers at the ASAS-LA site.
• Assist with discipline and behavior management.
• Embed ASAS-LA mission into daily practices at each site.
• Provide a safe and enriching program environment for students.
• Offer guidance and role modeling for participants.
• Report emergency situations and conflicts to supervisor.
• Coordinate with school sites and strengthen partnerships.
• Implement ASAS-LA initiatives through trainings and observations.
• Collaborate with school-day activities for expanded learning.
• Conduct program evaluations and surveys.
