Great Hearts Academies – Northern Oaks Campus in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Part-Time After-School Program Teacher to assist elementary and middle school students with homework, enrichment, and fun after school activities.

You will lead a daily activity per a provided lesson plan for a specific grade level, with activities spanning reading, athletics, logic games, art, and music in a supportive, on-site environment.

Qualificações

• Some college, preferably in education or liberal arts.
• Experience with children and strong communication skills.
• Ability to lead, engage, and teach students.

FLSA Status:

Part-Time; Hourly Position

Description:

Part-time afternoon position supporting elementary and middle school students in homework, enrichment, and fun. Teachers will be assigned to a specific grade-level class and conduct a daily activity following a provided lesson plan. Lessons and activities include reading, athletics, logic games, art, music, etc.

Qualifications:

• Some college (preferably with education or liberal arts major), experience with children, excellent communication skills, and ability to lead and teach children.

Requirements:

• Must complete Texas Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance and background check.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by their start date.

Physical functions:

• Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching.
• May be required to move or position equipment up to 50 pounds approximately.

Travel required:

• May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.

US Work Authorization is required.
