Job summary

Great Hearts Academies in Arlington, TX is seeking part-time After-School Program Teachers to support elementary and middle school students with homework, enrichment and fun after school activities.

Teachers will be assigned to a specific grade-level class and conduct a daily activity following a provided lesson plan. Lessons include reading, athletics, logic games, art and music, helping students grow academically and socially.

Qualifications

Position Description

Position Description: Part-time afternoon position supporting elementary and middle school students in homework, enrichment, and fun. Teachers will be assigned to a specific grade-level class and conduct a daily activity following a provided lesson plan. Lessons and activities include reading, athletics, logic games, art, music, etc.

Qualifications

• Some college (preferably with education or liberal arts major), experience with children, excellent communication skills, and ability to lead and teach children.

Requirements

• Must complete Texas Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance and background check.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by their start date.
• Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching.
• May be required to move or position equipment up to 50 pounds approximately.
• US Work Authorization is required.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.
• Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
