Job summary

Great Hearts Academies is seeking part-time After-School Program Teachers for all San Antonio Campuses and other campuses in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. You will support elementary and middle school students with homework, enrichment, and fun activities after school using provided lesson plans.

Teachers will be assigned to a specific grade-level class and conduct daily activities spanning reading, sports, logic games, art and music.

Qualifications

• Some college with education or liberal arts major.
• Experience with children.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lead and teach children.

Position Description

• Part-time afternoon position supporting elementary and middle school students in homework, enrichment, and fun.
• Teachers will be assigned to a specific grade-level class and conduct a daily activity following a provided lesson plan.
• Lessons and activities include reading, athletics, logic games, art, music, etc.

Qualifications

• Some college (preferably with education or liberal arts major), experience with children, excellent communication skills, and ability to lead and teach children.

Requirements

• Must complete Texas Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance and background check.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by their start date.
• Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 50 pounds approximately.

US Work Authorization is required.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.

Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
