Catholic Charities in San Francisco seeks an After-School Teaching Assistant to support collaborative youth programming at the 10th and Mission Family Housing site. You will help plan daily activities, assist with referrals, resume and life skills support, and run enrichment for children ages 6 to 17 while promoting inclusion and community.

Under supervision by the Activities Coordinator and Program Leadership, you will supervise groups, coordinate materials, respond to emergencies per the

• Knowledge of child development and education field; ability to plan and implement curriculum.
• Experience working with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Understanding of issues facing homeless families and mandated reporter responsibilities.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required; bilingual Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Implements and plans age-appropriate academic enrichment periods as directed.
• Sets up supplies, educational materials, and space for daily activities.
• Supervises groups during enrichment, art projects, and special events; promotes safe behavior.
• Mediates conflicts with compassion and maintains a safe, nurturing environment.
• Distributes and stores program equipment and materials; communicates positively with clients.
• Responds to emergencies per the Program Emergency Plan; prepares incident reports as needed.
• Participates in staff meetings and other duties assigned by Program Manager and Activities Coordinator.
