Job summary

Right At School seeks a Program Manager to oversee before/after school extended day programs in local districts, focusing on safe, engaging activities and high-quality student experiences. You will ensure daily operations align with licensing standards and program expectations.

The role emphasizes strong communication with families and staff, coaching of site teams, and adherence to district requirements, with a sign‑on bonus and a daytime schedule aligned to school hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate degree in child development, early childhood education or related field approved by the Ohio department of children and youth (DCY).
• Four college-level courses in Child Development or Early Childhood Education and Two years of experience working in the early care and education field.
• A current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential issued by the Council for Professional Recognition and Two years of experience working in the early care and education field.
• A minimum of a current prekindergarten associate license issued by the Ohio department of education and workforce (DEW).
• A current infant and toddler or early childhood credential from a program accredited by the Montessori accreditation council for teacher education.
• Career Pathways Level 3 credential
• CPL 2 with 2 years of experience working in licensed childcare and Two years of experience working in the early care and education field.
• CPL 1 with with 2 years of experience in licensed childcare & the ability to achieve CPL level 2 within 12 months of hire and Two years of experience working in the early care and education field.
• A current Ohio school‑age administrator professional endorsement (if serving only school‑age children).
• A current Ohio administrator credential as approved by DCY.

Responsibilities

• Safety and joy: model qualities and ensure safety standards, keep site documents up to date, outline attendance, behavior policies, and safety procedures.
• Safety assurance: support and report on safety protocols for participant well‑being.
• Effective communication: engage families and staff, respond to emails during hours, coordinate with Area Manager.
• Documentation and compliance: maintain attendance records and check‑in/out procedures per policy.
• Daily routine: implement daily activities, fitness, and curriculum in a safe, engaging environment.
