Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles招聘 After-school Program Leader (Seasonal) to create a safe, engaging environment for TK–6 students, leading enrichment clubs, homework help, and activities. This part-time, seasonal role follows the school calendar with afternoon shifts.

You will foster positive relationships, support diverse families, and promote youth development while aligning with the Y’s mission and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with school age children in a group setting.
• Experience leading enrichment activities, recreation, academics, sports, arts, or other skill based programs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to relate to diverse families.
• Current EMSA First Aid and Adult/Infant/Child CPR certifications or ability to obtain.
• Health screenings and background clearances prior to working with participants.

Responsibilities

• Create a fun, safe, and engaging after-school environment for TK–6 students.
• Lead hands-on enrichment activities, homework support, recreation, and clubs.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and teammates.
• Encourage teamwork, positive behavior, and belonging so every child can succeed.
• Support program safety, operations, and YMCA youth development initiatives.
