Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking a part-time program assistant to support after-school activities in NYC. You will supervise children, help with homework, and assist tutors and activity specialists in documenting behavior, attendance, and program data.

Responsibilities include maintaining supplies, attending meetings, and performing related duties as assigned, with a schedule Monday to Friday between 1:30 PM and 6:00 PM. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children in programs or activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Provide homework help, facilitate activities and supervise children after school.
• Supervise and monitor children and take daily attendance.
• Assist tutors and activity specialists to manage and document behavior.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for programs.
• Assist with data collection and upkeep of participant documents.
• Attend program meetings as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
