Job summary

After-School All-Stars Los Angeles is seeking a Program Coordinator to lead and manage an ASAS-LA site in Los Angeles. You will ensure a safe, dynamic after-school environment and drive program attendance.

The role requires supervisory experience, ability to work with district staff and community leaders, and strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office and valid transportation is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership or supervisory capacity in an afterschool or youth-based organization.
• Ability to work cooperatively with school district staff, officials, parents, and community leaders.
• Familiarity with quality criteria for expanded learning programming is desirable.
• Ability to develop and execute programs for diverse learning styles.
• Experience in ethnic and culturally diverse communities is desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication in a team environment.
• Must clear background checks and have valid transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all staff and volunteers at the ASAS-LA site and provide professional development.
• Recruit and retain participants; manage attendance and program operations.
• Discipline and behavior management, fostering a positive atmosphere.
• Embed the ASAS-LA mission into daily practices at each site.
• Ensure a safe, engaging educational environment for students.
• Coordinate with school sites to strengthen partnerships and report emergencies.
