Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) seeks dedicated staff to support K–12 after-school programming. You will facilitate engaging activities, supervise up to 22 youth, and build positive relationships to foster belonging and engagement.

Requires an Associate Degree or 48 college units or instructional aide exam; strong communication, reliability, and ability to lift 25 lbs. Work hours are 22–25 per week, with 15 paid holidays and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Must have an associate degree or higher, or 48 college units, or pass the Instructional Aide exam.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance.
  • Must be able to work after-school hours and throughout the school year.
  • Experience working with kids and ability to supervise up to 22 students.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate engaging academic, enrichment, recreation, and SEL activities for K–12 students.
  • Build positive, supportive relationships to foster belonging and engagement.
  • Support student behavior using restorative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices.
  • Provide homework help and adapt activities for diverse learning needs.
  • Create a safe, inclusive environment and supervise groups of up to 22 youth.
  • Maintain attendance, incident reports, and program documentation.

Some will include summer and intersession employment. Must have previous experience working with kids and the ability to independently lead and supervise up to 22 students while playing, doing homework, and implementing enrichment activities. Must be able to communicate openly, professionally, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
