Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources, Inc. is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator for a school-site youth program. You will support child and youth development, assist with curriculum design, track attendance, manage staff training, and foster strong school and community relationships.

The role requires 3+ years in a K-12 setting or youth program, 2+ years supervising adults, and strong tech skills. Lifting up to 25 pounds is expected.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher; or 48+ college units or passing Instructional Aide Exam.
  • Criminal background check and TB clearance completed.
  • 3 years of K-12 or youth program experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience leading adults.
  • Proficient with Word, email, Google Drive, and similar apps.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a safe, inclusive environment supporting youth development and leadership.
  • Design and deliver project-based, culturally responsive curriculum.
  • Track student participation, progress, and engagement for planning.
  • Develop program schedules, lesson plans, and materials.
  • Coordinate attendance, reports, and grant compliance as needed.
  • Support family, school, and community relationships and engagement.
  • Uphold health, safety, and mandated reporting policies.
  • Engage in professional development and collaborate with stakeholders.

Child/Youth Observation and AssessmentAssist the Coordinator with tracking student participation, progress, and engagement to inform planning and ensure continuous improvementAssist the Coordinator with supporting individual learning goals and behavior strategies in coordination with school-day educators.4. Program Planning and DevelopmentAssist the Coordinator with developing program schedules, lesson plans, and materials to meet program goals and compliance standards.Assist the Coordinator with logistics, including space usage, supplies, and daily operationsAssist the Coordinator with continuous Quality Improvement-Engages in a data-driven program quality improvementprocess; uses assessment and reflection data to inform academic instruction, literacy activities, and small groupAssist the Coordinator and collaborate with school site stakeholders to develop programs that support student development and academic successAssist the Coordinator in facilitating training, meetings, and events for staff and stakeholders.5. Family, School, and Community RelationshipsAssist the Coordinator in cultivating strong relationships with school staff, families, and community partners to support program outcomes and objectives.Assist the Coordinator in facilitating family engagement events and communicate regularly with caregivers6. Health, Safety, and WellnessEnsure that program practices meet or exceed health and safety standardsUphold policies related to child supervision, emergency preparedness, and mandated reportingEnsure safety standards, policies, and procedures are being met at all times7. Professionalism and LeadershipServe as a role model for staff and youth; uphold high ethical and professional standardsMust maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a high degree of integrityParticipate in ongoing professional development aligned with the NAA competencies.On the ground visibility, which may include, but is not limited to, daily observations, side-by-side modeling, and coaching.Participate in all meetings, workshops, and activities organized by BACR and District partnersMust have working knowledge of DEI concepts.8. Program Administration and OversightAssist the Coordinator with managing attendance records, reporting requirements, and assist with grant compliance as needed. Submit all required documentation on a timely basis, including program reports. Submit monthly student attendance and student snack reports on a timely basisResponsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the program at the school site in the absence of the Site CoordinatorAssist the Coordinator with effectively managing student recruitment, enrollment, scheduling, and registration procedures to meet program attendance goalsIt is a BACR Best Practice to recognize the needs and strengths of the people we serve and support their development.
