Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking staff for active supervision of students in the school-based child care program. The role involves supervising during after-school activities under the guidance of a qualified leader, assistant director, or director and promoting positive relations with families and the community.

Responsibilities include following procedures, engaging with students, maintaining safety, and supporting curriculum enrichment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Work directly under supervision of director, assistant director, or leader.
• Complete at least 15 clock hours of training each year.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to work with school-age children.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes tasks assigned by the director, assistant director, or leader.
• Follows procedures in ECS Procedures Manual.
• Participates and plays with students in structured and unstructured activities.
• Maintains safe conditions for students and staff.
• Follows and enforces program discipline policies and procedures.
• Assists with maintenance, storage, and repair of equipment, materials and supplies.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities, curriculum, and program quality.
• Demonstrates communication with parents, students, school staff and coworkers.
• Follows district policies and uses district facilities with care.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
