Job Description
The position provides support to the Program Coordinator and staff in a youth development program at a school site. The role involves administrative tasks, student supervision, and program execution.

Qualifications
- Must have an Associate Degree or higher, 48 or more college units, or pass the Instructional Aide exam.
- Must pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance.
- Proof of TB test clearance, associate degree (or equivalent), and Instructional Aide exam (if applicable).
- Must be punctual and reliable.

Essential Functions

Administrative Duties
- Communicate regularly with the coordinator and meet deadlines.
- Submit weekly student attendance and snack reports.
- Ensure all school facilities and equipment are left clean and organized.
- Attend and actively participate in all trainings and team meetings.
- Model positive and proactive attitudes, behaviors, and language to students and staff.
- Maintain professional, kid‑friendly speech, behavior, and attire at all times.
- Actively supervise students to ensure safety at all times.
- Provide program support as needed, including substitutions.
- Support students in developing skills for success in school and life.
Job Duties
- Assist the Program Coordinator in day‑to‑day operations: facilities management, attendance tracking, staffing, discipline, state/school requirements, and compliance.
- Coordinate student activities aligned with program goals.
- Supervise the program and student activities.
- Write lesson plans and use learning targets and instructional strategies.
- Explain instructions for assignments clearly.
- Plan engaging enrichment and physical activities.
- Work full program hours and commit to all required dates.
- Have experience working with youth and supervising volunteers or staff.
- Possess general knowledge of core elementary/middle school subjects.
- Strong classroom and behavioral management skills.
- Work independently or as part of a team.
- Communicate professionally with coordinator, students, parents, community partners, and school staff.
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate high integrity.
- Handle multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
