Job summary

High Tech High North County—San Marcos is seeking an Expanded Learning Assistant for aftercare to supervise students, lead activities, and provide tutoring support in a safe, structured environment.

This in-person, on-campus role reports to the Aftercare Coordinator/Director and offers hourly pay ranging from $20.60 to $25.11, with no benefits. Regular part-time hours.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience with youth, and a passion for enrichment and mentoring.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working with students.
• Ability to work well with school-aged students.
• Comfortable leading enrichment activities with students.
• Inform and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise school-aged children indoors and outdoors.
• Maintain an orderly, safe, and organized environment for the students.
• Take attendance to ensure that all students are accounted for.
• Plan, develop and run engaging student activities.
• Assist students with virtual learning activities and homework assignments.
• Understand and implement emergency procedures, including safety protocols.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
