Job summary

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a Teacher Lead for Newport Pell Elementary, part-time. You will design engaging after-school activities, supervise staff, and foster supportive relationships with students and families to promote academic growth and social-emotional development.

Collaborate with the Champion Childcare Coordinator and OST leadership to align activities with regulations and EBCAP’s mission, ensuring a safe, inclusive learning environment for elementary students.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of several education/experience combinations listed.
• Understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning.
• Familiarity with youth development strategies and behavior management.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging monthly lesson plans and activities.
• Provide homework help, literacy and math enrichment, and outdoor play.
• Support individualized student needs and behavior goals.
• Foster partnerships with families and coordinate with school staff.
• Maintain documentation and support licensing and quality initiatives.
• Supervise Teacher Assistants and collaborate with community partners.
