Job summary

Grace Place for Children and Families seeks an ECE & Elementary After-School Teacher to deliver nurturing, developmentally appropriate instruction for early childhood and elementary students. You will collaborate with the ECE Director and Elementary Program Manager to implement high-quality programming.

You will plan lessons, support families through PACT Time, supervise volunteers, and ensure a safe learning environment across morning and afternoon programs totaling ~40 hours per week, with

Qualifications

• Degree in education.
• Bachelor’s degree plus two years of instructional experience.
• CDA credential plus two years of instructional experience.
• Associate degree with 12 credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development plus two years of instructional experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement curriculum (Creative Curriculum) and daily lesson plans.
• Create developmentally appropriate classrooms and differentiate instruction.
• Maintain a safe, DCF-compliant classroom environment.
• Plan enrichment activities (art, technology, and fitness).
• Observe and document student progress for evaluations.
• Train and manage classroom volunteers and support home visits.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and program expectations.
