Job summary

Poway Unified School District invites applications for the Middle School After School Education and Safety Program Supervisor position. Under the supervision of site administrator and Executive Director of Alternative Programs, you will plan and coordinate operations and supervision of a Middle School ASES program.

Responsibilities include developing schedules, coordinating with staff, supervising personnel, managing budget, ensuring student safety, and communicating with parents and community

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field.
• Two years of paid experience working with secondary aged children, preferably as a Lead or Supervisor in an after school program.
• Valid California driver's license and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate operation of the Middle School ASES program to meet student needs.
• Develop a 4-6 week activity schedule aligned with program and grant goals.
• Collaborate with site administration and regular staff to align with the school day.
• Supervise, train, evaluate, and assign staff; maintain staff-to-student ratios.
• Maintain site budget and order supplies and snacks.
• Ensure student safety and emergency preparedness; administer first aid as needed.
• Prepare disaster plans and coordinate with sponsoring agencies.
• Communicate with parents and community agencies; prepare newsletters and coordinate field trips.
