Job summary

Annunciation Orthodox School seeks qualified Auxiliary Programs Dance Instructors to work with children from ages 3 through 6th grade, 2:30–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday. The role supports a flexible program and fosters learning through activity and expression.

The position is part-time/hourly, with responsibilities including teaching multiple dance styles, choreographing recitals, and ensuring student safety and positive development. A focus on communication with families is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching and working with children in dance (ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop).
• Strong knowledge of dance techniques and age-appropriate skill development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, coworkers and families.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and families.

Responsibilities

• Teach fundamentals of dance in Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop.
• Choreograph a recital piece for each class.
• Lead supervision and organization of students during dance classes.
• Apply youth development principles and respect for diversity.
• Ensure supervision and health/safety standards during activities.
• Provide feedback to parents to support children's success.
