Job summary

Silver Knights Chess Academy is seeking part-time instructors to teach chess to elementary students in a small-group setting after school. You’ll follow our curriculum, guide students through lessons, and help them practice games in a supportive environment.

Pay starts at $55 per hour for long meetings; training is provided. A vehicle for transportation is encouraged, and the role involves light lifting of teaching materials. Training and flexible scheduling are offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in chess rules and basic strategy or willingness to learn.
• Experience or interest in working with elementary-age children (5–11).
• Reliable personal vehicle for transportation.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs of teaching equipment.
• Willingness to learn and use new software tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage a classroom of 10–20 students.
• Use curriculum to teach basic rules and strategy.
