Job summary

Silver Knights Chess Academy is seeking an After School Teacher to teach chess to elementary students after school, starting at $55/hour. Training is provided; you will work with groups of 10-20 students, delivering curriculum and promoting good sportsmanship.

The role requires availability on at least 3 weekdays (2:30 pm–5:00 pm), a reliable vehicle, and the ability to lift equipment. Comprehensive paid training is provided, with a focus on helping children learn chess in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Must be available at least 3 weekdays during the school year 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm.
• Have a reliable vehicle for transportation.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs of teaching equipment.
• Ability to learn and use new software tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage a classroom of 10-20 students.
• Use our curriculum to teach basic chess rules and strategy.
• Promote good sportsmanship.
• Store and maintain teaching equipment.
• Supervise parent pickup.
