Job summary

Hospice of The Red River Valley is seeking an After Hours Registered Nurse to provide care for hospice patients during evenings and nights, including triage of calls and skilled nursing interventions in patients’ homes. The role covers 5 PM–8 AM, Sunday through Saturday, with a 7-on/7-off schedule and full-time benefits.

Starting pay is $36.06/hour based on experience, with shift differential. Eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k),

Qualifications

• Must hold RN licensure in North Dakota and Minnesota (or be willing to obtain dual licensure).
• BSN preferred or higher; hospital/homecare/hospice experience advantageous.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; strong clinical competencies.

Responsibilities

• Triage and respond to patient phone calls during after-hours shifts.
• Provide skilled nursing interventions and supportive care in patient homes.
• Follow the patient’s plan of care and coordinate with the hospice team.
• Support families during actively dying and death visits.

Our mission: 'To provide comfort and care through life's journey’Position SummaryThe After Hours RN is responsible for the care of hospice patients during non-business hours including, but not limited to: triaging patient phone calls, providing skilled nursing interventions and supportive care in the patient’s place of residents for evening and night after hours duty in accordance with the patient’s respective plan of care and based on need. Provide support and follow-through to the patient’s family during any actively dying and/or death visit for the hospice team.This position works from 5PM to 8AM Sunday to Saturday. 7 days on, then 7 days off and is benefit eligible.
