Job summary

Heartland Hospice in Kansas is seeking an After Hours/On-Call RN to deliver compassionate care during evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. You will respond to urgent calls, coordinate with the daytime care team, document visits in the EMR, manage symptoms and participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities.

Requirements include an active RN license in Kansas, 1+ year nursing experience, CPR certification, valid driver’s license, and a $7,500 sign-on bonus is available

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Kansas or eligibility to obtain.
• 1+ year nursing experience, hospice preferred.
• CPR certification and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to urgent calls and manage symptoms during after hours.
• Coordinate with daytime care team and document visits.
• Educate patient/family and support interdisciplinary care.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement.
