Heartland Hospice is seeking an After Hours/On-Call Registered Nurse to respond to patient needs during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays in the Shawnee, KS area. You will provide direct patient care in patients' homes, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and ensure continuity of care after normal business hours.

This safety-sensitive role offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus and opportunities to deliver compassionate care within a national hospice network.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• 1+ years of nursing experience.
• Hospice heart: compassionate, calm, dependable.
• Strong clinical judgment for urgent care.
• Comfort with home-based care.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• CPR certification on file.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care after hours.
• Serve as liaison between patients, families, physicians and the hospice team.
• Respond promptly to urgent calls and symptom management.
• Document visits and communications accurately.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary group.
• Maintain records and participate in quality improvement programs.
• Promote continuity of care with daytime team.
