Job summary

HIA Health in Fargo, ND seeks an RN for after-hours hospice care. You will triage calls and provide nursing interventions in patients’ homes, with family support during end-of-life visits. The role runs 5 PM to 8 AM, Sundays through Saturdays, with a 7 on/7 off rotation and full-time benefits.

Qualified candidates have an RN license (ND/MN) and 1+ year of hospice, hospital, or homecare experience. BSN preferred; dual licensure helpful. Drug screen and background check required.

Qualifications

• Minimum RN degree; BSN preferred.
• Experience: at least 1 year in hospital, nursing home or homecare/hospice.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills; ability to solve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patient phone calls during after-hours.
• Provide skilled nursing interventions and supportive care in patient’s residence.
• Support and follow-through to patient’s family during actively dying/death visits.
• Care for hospice patients during non-business hours (5PM–8AM).

Job Details: Job Location: Fargo Headquarters – Fargo, ND 58104. Position Type: Full Time. Education Level: 2 Year Degree. Job Shift: Graveyard. Job Category: Health Care.

Position Summary

Responsible for the care of hospice patients during non-business hours including, but not limited to: triaging patient phone calls, providing skilled nursing interventions and supportive care in the patient’s place of residence for evening and night after hours duty in accordance with the patient’s respective plan of care and based on need. Provide support and follow-through to the patient’s family during any actively dying and/or death visit for the hospice team.

This position works from 5PM to 8AM Sunday to Saturday. 7 days on, then 7 days off and is benefit eligible. This position is located in the Fargo area.

Pay Range: Starting at $34.67/hour (based on experience) with additional shift differential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of RN degree, BSN preferred
• Preferred nursing experience, with at least one‑year recent hospital, nursing home or homecare/hospice experience
• Strong clinical skills

• Current RN Licensure in North Dakota and Minnesota (or willing to obtain dual licensure).
