Job summary

HIA Hospice seeks an experienced hospice registered nurse to cover after-hours care in the Grand Forks area. You will triage calls, perform skilled nursing interventions, and deliver supportive care in patients' homes during evening and night shifts.

The role involves follow-through with families during active dying and death visits, with weekend coverage. North Dakota/Minnesota RN licensure is required or dual licensure pursued as applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum RN degree; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in North Dakota and Minnesota (or willingness to obtain dual licensure).
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills; ability to problem-solve independently.

Responsibilities

• Care for hospice patients during non-business hours, including evenings and nights.
• Triage patient phone calls and provide skilled nursing interventions at the patient’s residence.
• Provide supportive care to patients and follow-through to families during actively dying and death visits.
• Standby for weekend care, located in Grand Forks and serving surrounding communities.

Position SummaryResponsible for the care of hospice patients during non-business hours including, but not limited to: triaging patient phone calls, providing skilled nursing interventions and supportive care in the patient’s place of residents for evening and night after hours duty in accordance with the patient’s respective plan of care and based on need. Provide support and follow-through to the patient’s family during any actively dying and/or death visit for the hospice team.This position works every Saturday & Sunday 8am - 6 pm with applicable shift differentials. This position will be located in our Grand Forks office and serve the surrounding communities.Pay Range: Starting at $34.67/hour (based on experience) with additional shift differential.Benefits:We offer a robust benefits package for qualifying full-time and part-time employees.
