Job summary

HIA Hospice seeks an experienced hospice registered nurse to cover after-hours care in the Grand Forks area. You will triage calls, perform skilled nursing interventions, and deliver supportive care in patients' homes during evening and night shifts.

The role involves follow-through with families during active dying and death visits, with weekend coverage. North Dakota/Minnesota RN licensure is required or dual licensure pursued as applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum RN degree; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in North Dakota and Minnesota (or willingness to obtain dual licensure).
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills; ability to problem-solve independently.

Responsibilities

• Care for hospice patients during non-business hours, including evenings and nights.
• Triage patient phone calls and provide skilled nursing interventions at the patient’s residence.
• Provide supportive care to patients and follow-through to families during actively dying and death visits.
• Standby for weekend care, located in Grand Forks and serving surrounding communities.
