Job summary

Dean Dorton is seeking an Accounting and Financial Outsourcing (AFO) Director to lead the AFO practice within the Business Consulting Group. You will direct strategy, operations, people, growth, and client delivery, working with BCG leaders and market teams to scale scalable accounting and advisory solutions.

The role emphasizes measuring performance, optimizing processes, and driving innovation using technology-enabled delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA preferred.
• 10+ years in accounting/advisory with leadership of teams and P&L responsibility.
• Experience leading managed-service delivery and AI-enabled accounting initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual AFO operating plan with budget alignment.
• Manage client engagements, ensuring scope, staffing, quality and outcomes.
• Lead growth, talent development, and cross-team collaboration within BCG.
