Job summary

Dean Dorton is seeking an Accounting and Financial Outsourcing (AFO) Director to steer the AFO practice within the Business Consulting Group. You will translate strategy into an annual operating plan, oversee client delivery, and drive growth and innovation while ensuring quality and risk management across engagements.

The role requires 10+ years in accounting/advisory, strong leadership, and expertise in cloud accounting and AI-enabled processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent credential preferred.
• Ten or more years of progressively responsible accounting/advisory experience.
• Experience leading high-performing teams and managing service lines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual AFO operating plan and budget.
• Own practice performance including revenue and profitability metrics.
• Establish scalable delivery models and service standards.
• Lead selection, implementation, and optimization of accounting platforms and AI tools.
• Translate strategy into priorities and drive sustained execution.
