Job summary

Dean Dorton is seeking an Accounting and Financial Outsourcing Director to lead the AFO practice within the Business Consulting Group. Based in the Cincinnati market, you will drive strategy, operations, growth, and client delivery for scalable accounting solutions.

You will translate firm strategy into operating plans, build high-performing teams, and partner with cross-functional leaders to deliver measurable value to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• CPA, CMA or another relevant credential preferred.
• Ten+ years in accounting/advisory with at least five years leading teams.
• Experience with outsourced accounting and CFO-level advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual AFO operating plan and budget.
• Own practice performance: revenue, profitability, realization, utilization, and client satisfaction.
• Establish scalable delivery models, engagement workflows, staffing practices, and service standards.
• Lead evaluation and implementation of accounting platforms, automation, and AI-driven tools.
• Define the AFO client service model and manage complex relationships and transitions.
• Collaborate with BCG leaders and market teams to drive growth and client delivery.
