Dean Dorton is seeking an Accounting and Financial Outsourcing Director to lead the AFO practice within the Business Consulting Group. You will drive strategy, growth, and client delivery, guiding a team across advisory, controllership, and scalable accounting solutions.

The role demands strong leadership, governance, and execution excellence. You will partner with market leaders, manage budgets and KPIs, and shape standard operating procedures while advancing data-driven decision making for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business is required.
• CPA, CMA, or another professional credential preferred.
• Ten+ years of accounting/advisory experience with at least five years leading teams.
• Experience with practice leadership, client relationship management, project delivery and business development.
• Experience leading a managed-service delivery model and implementing accounting technology preferred.
• Ability to translate strategy into operating plans and sustained execution.
• Strong knowledge of outsourced accounting, controllership, financial reporting, and CFO‑level advisory.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute the annual AFO operating plan and budget.
• Own practice performance: revenue, profitability, utilization, pricing, and client satisfaction.
• Establish scalable delivery models and service standards for quality and efficiency.
• Lead evaluation and deployment of accounting platforms, automation, and AI.
• Standardize core processes across industry verticals for consistency.
• Create and review SOPs for client data, onboarding/offboarding, and risk management.
• Define and reinforce the AFO client service model and ensure clear deliverables.
• Develop talent, succession plans, and team capabilities within AFO.
