Job summary

Evergreen Real Estate Group in Champaign, IL is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in day-to-day operations of affordable housing communities, including leasing, resident support, and regulatory compliance.

You will assist with rent collection, vendor coordination, inspections, and staff training while maintaining HUD/LIHTC compliance and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years in affordable housing, leasing, or site operations.
• Illinois Real Estate License or ability to obtain within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide site leadership support and staff training when needed.
• Deliver responsive resident service and coordinate programs.
• Ensure compliance with HUD/LIHTC and housing regulations.
• Assist with leasing, marketing, waiting lists, and fair housing plans.
• Process rent payments, notices, and accounts as directed.
• Support office operations, vendor coordination, and recordkeeping.
• Conduct inspections and assist with safety and risk tasks.
• Respond to incidents and support on-call duties as required.
