Job summary

Volunteers of America-Texas in Austin, TX seeks a property management leader to hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff, while coordinating bookkeeping, marketing, and lease preparation to ensure compliant, high-quality operations.

This full-time role offers a $65,000 annual salary and a $5,000 sign-on bonus, plus comprehensive benefits including healthcare, retirement, education assistance, PTO, and growth opportunities within VOA-Texas.

Qualifications

• Three years' experience in property management.
• Knowledge of LIHTC, PSH, HUD and conventional properties.
• Valid Texas driver's license and ability to be insured.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines all staff.
• Manages the property office staff and/or functions, ensuring that bookkeeping, marketing, and lease preparations are performed as required.
• Works closely with onsite case management and social service personnel.
• Supervises social service coordinator and function.
• Assists in budget preparation for the property.
• Markets the property in accordance with Fair Housing and the management agent's guidelines.
• Submits reports as required by the management agent or mandated by government.
• Maintains office files for all business and financial records and deposits monies received.
• Inspects property daily and coordinates necessary repairs.
• Responds to resident requests and complaints.

Day-To-Day

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required and three years' experience in property management. OR Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred and three years' experience in property management
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulations, acts, guidelines, etc. pertaining to LIHTC, PSH, HUD and conventional properties.
• Valid Texas driver's license and ability to be insured
