Job summary

Eden Housing, Inc. is seeking an Occupancy Specialist to support the Community Manager in maintaining compliance with HUD, Tax Credit and CHFA regulations across the property. You will process move-ins, certifications, and applicant screenings, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates to the waitlist.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, organization, and respectful resident interactions. The position involves occasional file maintenance, reporting, and coordination with auditors

Qualifications

• One year of property management experience.
• Proficient processing Tax Credit and/or HUD files.
• Computer literacy - PC hardware, YARDI software a plus.
• Proficient in word-processing and spreadsheet software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Self-starter, flexible, detail-oriented, and well organized.

Responsibilities

• Process applicants for move-in following Eden’s policies and procedures.
• Track annual recertification dates and send renewal letters 120 days prior to due date.
• Interview households and verify income and assets.
• Maintain waitlist and process applications per EHMI policies.
• Coordinate Housing Authority inspections of vacant units.
• Assist in resident move-in/out procedures and unit inspections.
