Related Affordable is seeking an Occupancy and Recertification Specialist in Sunnyvale, CA. You will manage certifications, rent calculations, and resident interactions to ensure compliant affordable housing operations.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in affordable housing leasing, LIHTC knowledge, and experience with property management software (RealPage, OneSite, Yardi). This role offers growth, strong benefits, and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in affordable housing and leasing.
• Review and interpret financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, and rent.
• Certification in COS, TCS, or other affordable housing compliance training preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with property management software (e.g., RealPage, OneSite, Yardi).
• Strong financial, organizational, and critical thinking.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly build trust with teams and residents.
• Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in fast-paced, changing environments.

Responsabilités

• Process certifications (initial, interim, and annual) and calculate retroactive rent.
• Collect documentation from residents and process verifications.
• Apply correct rents for annual and interim recertification and ensure compliance.
• Prepare rent repayment agreements and explain calculations to residents per HUD guidelines.
• Review EIV reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Support site and office operations as assigned by manager.
