Related Affordable is seeking an Occupancy and Recertification Specialist to manage LIHTC-based certifications and rent calculations. The role emphasizes accuracy, resident engagement, and compliance with HUD guidelines within a high-volume environment.

The position focuses on processing initial, interim, and annual certifications, collecting required documents, and applying correct rents while ensuring adherence to LIHTC policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of LIHTC.
• Must have knowledge of LIHTC policies and procedures.
• Detail oriented and the ability to operate on a deadline driven schedule.
• Possess strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
• 2-4 years leasing experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilize your organizational skills to provide the best affordable housing accommodations.
• Create a welcoming experience and sense of community through daily resident interactions.
• Process initial, interim, and annual certifications; calculate retroactive rent per guidelines.
• Collect documentation from residents and process verifications.
• Apply rents for annual and interim recertifications; stay compliant.
• Prepare rent repayment agreements and explain calculations per HUD guidelines.
• Review EIV reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accuracy while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Complete tasks start-to-finish with minimal supervision in a busy environment.
• Prioritize and manage time to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
• Support site and office operations as assigned by manager.
