Job summary

Related Affordable Housing is seeking an Occupancy & Recertification Specialist for our 124-unit Chicago community. You will manage recertifications, ensure program compliance, and uphold resident relations. The role requires LIHTC, HUD, and Section 8 familiarity and strong attention to detail.

You will maintain EIV data, training teammates, and coordinate with management to address resident concerns with timely documentation and accurate rent calculations.

Qualifications

• Experience completing recertifications accurately and on time.
• Familiarity with HUD/Public Housing/Tax Credit policies and procedures.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and training on compliance processes.
• Maintain EIV binders and generate monthly/quarterly reports.
• Monitor LIHTC/HUD regulations and ensure adherence.
• Prepare documentation for audits and reviews.
• Process initial, annual, and interim recertifications per HUD/HDP guidelines.
• Determine tenant rents for annual/interim recertifications.
• Maintain detailed transaction records for compliance.
• Collaborate with property management on resident concerns.
• Ensure timely submission of forms and documentation.
• Leverage knowledge of Affordable Housing, LIHTC, HUD, Section 8 and related regs.
