Job summary

NBT Bank in Torrington, Connecticut seeks an experienced Mortgage Originator to drive residential mortgage growth, focusing on Affordable Housing products and coordinating with non-profit housing partners. You will manage the end-to-end loan process from application to closing, explaining products and costs to clients while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires building relationships with partners, traveling as needed, and maintaining CRA-related programs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business or related field with 2 years of experience.
• 2+ years in Residential Lending preferred.
• Experience with non-profit housing partners and Federal/State grant programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes relationships with non-profit housing partners and maintains an active pipeline.
• Originates residential mortgage loans with emphasis on Affordable Housing products within the base market.
• Assists CRA officer and Mortgage Sales teams with tracking and reporting CRA-related activities.
• Coordinates residential mortgage lending for CRA exams and meetings as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
