Job summary

Old National Bank is seeking a Community Development Mortgage Loan Originator to drive residential mortgage origination in Low to Moderate Income and majority-minority communities, with emphasis on CRA and multicultural originations.

You will self-source and partner with community organizations and housing agencies, managing the full loan cycle and ensuring compliant, customer-focused service while promoting affordable homeownership across targeted census tracts.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in community and diversity mortgage loan origination.
• Knowledge of FHA, conventional and governmental lending guidelines; CRA, Multicultural and HUD income guidelines.
• Competent computer skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task.
• NMLS eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans to achieve production goals.
• Self-source loans through referral partners and community organizations.
• Convert leads into applications and collect documents for loan conditions.
• Manage pipeline from origination through closing and prepare reports.
• Consult with internal partners to ensure superior service.
• Provide up-to-date loan information to customers and partners.
• Promote home ownership in majority-minority census tracts.
• Coordinate home-buying seminars for CRA and multicultural origination.
• Partner with community, non-profit and government agencies.
