Job summary

Bickerdike Redevelopment Corporation in Chicago, IL seeks a Development Project Manager to lead real estate development from inception through construction and turnover. You will work with the Vice President of Real Estate Development and manage design, finance, and permitting processes to ensure timely project delivery.

The role requires a strong background in development finance, construction oversight, and excellent communication across diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
Green Design and construction knowledge preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, mathematical and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently.
Ability to create comprehensive pro-forma schedules for project proposals.

Responsibilities

Coordinate early project conception with community input and funding sources.
Assemble and coordinate the development team to ensure timely activities.
Finance: research funding sources, prepare applications, secure financing.
Advance pre-development to closing with due diligence, budgeting and negotiations.
Oversee pre-construction: finalize plans, manage bids, obtain permits.
Act as Owner's Representative during construction: site visits and payouts.
Coordinate turnover, document archiving, and post-project closeout.
Develop homeownership marketing and bilingual materials for Homeownership projects.
