Job summary

Bickerdike Redevelopment Corporation is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for affordable housing in Chicago. This full-time role focuses on occupancy management, resident recertifications, leasing activities, and subsidy processing to ensure compliance with HUD/LIHTC programs.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of property management experience, plus the ability to coordinate with the Property Manager and leasing team to maintain occupancy and regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 2+ years of related property management experience.
• Must obtain an Illinois Leasing Agent license within 90 days of employment.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; must own or have access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Handle annual/interim tenant recertifications, inspections, and related paperwork.
• Manage leasing process: screening, showings, leases, and move-ins to maximize occupancy.
• Process HUD subsidy payments and TRACS transmissions with government partners.
• Coordinate tenant files, rent rolls, and documentation to meet funder requirements.
