Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Troy, Ohio, seeks a Project Engineer for the Commercial Wheel and Brakes portfolio to coordinate and execute project plans, manage engineering activities, and drive timely updates with the OE customer. You will support product development, identify risks, and lead cost optimization efforts across the W&B portfolio.

The role requires a STEM degree and typically 2 years of relevant experience; PM experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and typically a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• 2+ years Project Management preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution and tracking/reporting of engineering activities including project budgets related to commercial W&B products in a timely manner to meet internal and external customer timelines.
• Support the Commercial project engineering team in the product development process
• Coordinate and drive assigned engineering tasks and actions to closure in a timely fashion while providing updates to the wider organization.
• Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive the mitigations to closure with assistance the supporting technical team.
• Lead product cost optimization activities across the W&B portfolio with the objective of long term competitive products
