Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a proactive project engineer to manage planning, execution and tracking of engineering activities related to Commercial W&B products. The role supports the product development process and drives tasks to closure, coordinating with a broad engineering organization onsite in the United States.

Requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; 2+ years of project management experience preferred, with focus on cost optimization and meeting customer timelines.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and typically a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• 2+ years project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution and tracking/reporting of engineering activities including project budgets related to commercial W&B products in a timely manner to meet internal and external customer timelines.
• Support the Commercial project engineering team in the product development process
• Coordinate and drive assigned engineering tasks and actions to closure in a timely fashion while providing updates to the wider organization.
• Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive the mitigations to closure with assistance the supporting technical team.
• Lead product cost optimization activities across the W&B portfolio with the objective of long term competitive products
